Eat yogurt.What’s the new medication?
EDIT: Flagyl (metronidazole) is being used in this case to treat a condition called Pseudomembraneous colitis. This happens when a prior antibiotic basically ‘kills the good bacteria’ in your intestine and a particular bacterium called C. difficile proliferates. If you don’t start to see relief within 5 days, let your Doctor know. Whatever you do, DO NOT take any anti diarrheals. I know, this sounds cruel, but the toxins produced by C. diff. are what is causing the body to have diarrhea.
EDIT2: Also, DO NOT drink ANY alcohol while taking metronidazole.
I hope you feel better soon. If you have any other questions, email me.Instead of water, take the antibiotics with a glass of milk. This prevents the destruction of the good bacteria that your body needs.
